Nisshinbo's LDO Regulator for High Quality Audio Devices
Tokyo, Japan, July 18th, 2024—Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc., a leading innovator in electronic components, is proud to announce the launch of the MUSES100 series, a cutting-edge low-noise, low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator designed specifically for high-quality audio applications. With its superior performance and advanced features, the device sets a new standard for audio equipment manufacturers and enthusiasts alike and is targeted for use in home audio, professional audio, and portable audio equipment.
The MUSES100 series is a CMOS-based LDO regulator that operates with an input voltage range from 2.5V to 5.5V, delivering an output voltage range from 1.2V to 5.0V and supporting an output current of up to 600mA. This series is meticulously engineered to provide exceptional audio quality, featuring a ripple rejection ratio of 90 dB at 1 kHz & 10 kHz and 80 dB at 100 kHz. In addition, an ultra-low output noise voltage of just 3.0 μVrms, making it the ideal choice for high-quality audio DACs and other audio equipment to ensure stable and noise-free audio output even under fluctuating power conditions.
The typical dropout voltage is 0.15V at 600mA, providing efficient voltage regulation with minimal power loss. A thermal shutdown, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and overcurrent protection mechanisms are included to ensure reliable operation. Furthermore, it supports the use of film and aluminium electrolytic capacitors as these have better DC bias characteristics (less reduction in capacitance as the applied DC voltage increases).
The MUSES100 uses a compact DFN3030-8-QC package. It is available for purchase now; for detailed product specifications and purchasing information, please visit our official website and refer to our list of qualified local and online distribution partners.
