Winbond's Statement on Earthquake Impact on Operations
Regarding the magnitude 7.2 main earthquake and subsequent aftershocks that occurred in the eastern region of Taiwan on April 3rd, Winbond stated that the company, in accordance with internal procedures, promptly initiated evacuation operations when the earthquake reached evacuation standards, resulting in no injuries to personnel.
Some machinery at the CTSP Fab and Kaohsiung Fab activated self-protection mechanisms due to the earthquake, but overall, there was no significant impact on the company's operations and finances.
Furthermore, Winbond emphasized that the company immediately implemented earthquake emergency response and business continuity plans, systematically minimizing the damage caused by the earthquake to the company.
