Marvell Statement on Taiwan Earthquake
Dear Valued Customer:
As you may be aware, a large earthquake struck Taiwan on April 2, 2024. At Marvell, our top priority is the safety and well-being of our employees, partners, and communities. We have been actively monitoring the situation and maintaining close communication with our suppliers in the region. Here is a summary of the current situation:
People and Infrastructure: We are pleased to report that all Marvell employees and individuals at our supplier facilities in the affected area are safe and accounted for. Furthermore, initial assessments indicate that buildings at TSMC and other Marvell supply partners have no structural damage, and safety systems are operating normally. TSMC expects to resume production today at facilities that were temporarily interrupted.
Supply Line Impact: While immediate safety concerns have been addressed, our supply partners are conducting a thorough analysis of their manufacturing lines. They are also reviewing work-in-progress supply to determine any potential impact. Any potential delays in deliveries caused by the disruption will be communicated promptly to the impacted teams. While these reviews will take some time, we remain committed to transparency and will provide you with regular updates as new information becomes available.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to your dedicated Marvell account representative.
Sincerely,
Dean Jarnac
