Device Overview

The VM820C Credit Card Module functions as the baseboard for development modules based on the BT820B, Bridgetek’s 5th generation Embedded Video Engine. Paired with the included MN820 mini-module, it demonstrates the BT820B’s capabilities, supporting developers in creating applications quickly and easily.

Connect an LVDS display up to 1920 x 1200 resolution via the FPC connector.

Equipped with power and audio circuits, I/O connectors, and an LVDS Input supporting up to 1920 x 1200 resolution, the VM820C baseboard enables smooth communication with external devices. It supports multiple power input sources ranging from 5V to 12V, making it well-suited for driving large LCD panels. Power can be provided via an MCU host, USB host/charger, or a DC adapter.

The VM820C can connect to an MCU host using SPI / Dual SPI / Quad SPI (QSPI) via a pin header or FPC connector, and also features an on-board FT4222H USB-QSPI interface enabling direct connection to a host computer over USB.

Note that the VM820C requires the MN820 (included), an LCD display (not included) and a host MCU/computer (not included) to form a complete evaluation/development system.
