Device Overview

The BT820B is the 5th Generation Embedded Video Engine (EVE), an easy-to-use family of graphics controllers targeted at embedded applications. Create advanced touch-enabled Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) on large LVDS displays using the same object-oriented programming model as previous EVE generations.

The BT820B supports large high-resolution LVDS displays (up to 1920 x 1200) directly, rendering complex feature-rich user interfaces via the frame buffer in external DDR3 SDRAM and 16 Kbyte display list. The flash storage interfaces (NOR / NAND Flash and SD Card) allow the BT820B to access large images, videos, animations, fonts and more directly without requiring large amounts of flash on the host MCU.

Integrate live video (up to 1920 x 1200 at 60fps) into user interfaces easily via the direct LVDS video input with real-time video pre-processing to apply effects and image enhancements.

The enhanced touch engine supports external Capacitive touch controllers via I2C. The BT820B supports audio effects and playback via the new stereo audio output (PWM / Delta-Sigma or I2S).
